Panel members

Patrick McKenzie (moderator) at Stripe

Patrick has built four software companies (including two which sold SaaS). He now works with startup founders at Stripe.

Brad Ellis (Mercari)

Brad Ellis leads shipping, payment and fraud & abuse tools development for Mercari US in Tokyo, as Director of Product Management. After college at Harvard and Keio University, he was a dev lead at startups in Kyoto and Boston, and from 2007 was a product manager for Ads and YouTube at Google Japan. After relocating to the SF Bay Area he was the first product manager at Nuna, and led a project to build the first modern, nationwide Medicaid data warehouse. Brad joined Mercari US in 2017, and moved back to Tokyo in November 2018.

Raylene Yung (Stripe)

Head of Engineering, APAC, Stripe

Raylene leads efforts to expand Stripe globally, bringing product and engineering teams to new markets around the world. Prior to Stripe, Raylene was an Engineering Director at Facebook, where she led initiatives around privacy, content creation, and the Facebook news feed. Raylene holds a BS and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University.

The event will be hosted at Stripe’s Harajuku office (Jingumae Tower Building 22F, 1-5-8 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). Please come to the 22nd floor.
